What People Are Saying
“Only Moms can help moms, which is why it’s so exciting to see Christine and Sarah bringing fourth-trimester care to the greater Ann Arbor area. I personally know these amazing women, and if anyone can bring Sacred Fourth into reality, it’s them! Our community of perinatal and postnatal support providers are ready to welcome and support the Sacred Fourth”.
— Ariel Wan
Founder of The Mama’s Network and Little Break: Coworking and Parent Center
“The ‘fourth trimester’ is one of the most critical yet overlooked phases of both maternal and newborn care in the United States. While enormous attention is placed on pregnancy and delivery, the postpartum period often lacks the same level of structure, support, and cultural recognition, leaving many women feeling abandoned. Sarah and Christine are spotlighting and supporting women in their physical recovery, emotional well-being, and transitioning into the new changes. Their focus on improving fourth trimester care means rethinking postpartum support as a continuum rather than an afterthought. Treating it with the same importance as pregnancy and birth isn’t just beneficial—it’s necessary”!

Watching Christine bring Sacred Fourth into our community has been so inspiring. She leads with so much intention, compassion, and care, always going above and beyond to support the women around her. She’s creating something truly special—a space where women feel seen, supported, and connected. Our community is so lucky to have her.

Williams and Rodrigues plan to open Sacred Fourth, a perinatal wellness center named for the “fourth trimester,” or postpartum period. They will offer movement classes, educational workshops, nutritious meals, and doula support to new moms. […] Meantime, Rodrigues and Williams plan to host pop-up day retreats this summer while they work out the details and funding for a permanent space.

A donation to a for-profit organization is not usually tax-deductible as a charitable contribution under U.S. federal tax law. The IRS says charitable deductions are allowed only for contributions to qualified organizations. Although a portion of donations will go to a charitable cause to help other moms take advantage of our services through scholarship, we do not yet have a formal non-profit arm that could make Sacred Fourth a “qualified organization”.
-
Every donation to Sacred Fourth is an investment in mothers. Your generosity helps fund scholarships so that more women can access the support, care, and restorative services they need during the fourth trimester, regardless of their financial circumstances; while the remainder will help us save toward opening a permanent brick-and-mortar space in the years ahead. Your generosity is helping lay the foundation for a future where more mothers are cared for, supported, and seen.

There are many meaningful ways to get involved with Sacred Fourth beyond financial giving. Community members, practitioners, and local businesses can donate their time by volunteering at events, gift their services to mothers through pop-up offerings, or contribute products that support rest, healing, and care during the postpartum season. These donations allow us to bless mothers with tangible support while also creating opportunities for local businesses to share their work, build relationships, and grow their presence in the community. Our hope is that each pop-up becomes a space where mothers are nurtured and local businesses are uplifted at the same time.

Yes, we also gladly accept in-kind donations. In-kind giving is a meaningful way to support Sacred Fourth by contributing goods, products, services, or event support that can directly bless mothers at our pop-ups and community offerings. Whether it is postpartum care items, wellness products, refreshments, floral arrangements, professional services, or other thoughtful contributions, these donations help us create a more nurturing and restorative experience for mothers. In-kind donations also give local businesses and community members a tangible way to partner with our mission while sharing their gifts with families in a meaningful and impactful way.
